My name is Michael. I'm 31. I have experienced a lot in my 31 years. The things you go through make you who you are. I want to make a difference in the world. I have a lot of life experience and a unique way of seeing the world. I love music that takes all of your thoughts and emotions and puts them into music and words that sum up exactly what you are going through. I like taking pictures that capture that moment in time perfectly. I like writing that reaches out to people and takes them to a place that only their imagination can go. Mike G a.k.a The Ladies Man started singing at the age of 6. He grew up listening to artist like: New Edition, Michael Jackson, Guy, Levert, Troop and many more. His brother was singing in a local group called “Sir Dregon†and he began attending some of the talent shows his brother was a part of which motivated and inspired him to take his music career further. “I would ask my brother to let me sing with them, and they would say you are too young or you aren’t big enough†stated Mike G. Mike G later began to get sidetracked from the music life and started getting in trouble and became involved in the street life he later ended up leaving home at the early age of 13, Mike G stated “ I ended up doing a lot of things that I shouldn’t have and that’s how I ended up with the name Mike Gâ€. Years later Mike G ended up going to more talent shows at places like the “Ingâ€, “The Getawayâ€, “The Midway Theatre†and a few of the teen clubs in his local area. While attending numerous of talent shows he met the group members of Nu Appeal which included Nate and Monty of Rockford, Illinois they were a dance group until they met Mike they then created a singing group in which he became the lead singer and since meeting them Mike G did opening acts for Rappers which included Too Short, Do or Die, Twista just to name a few. Later the group separated. Mike was thinking of giving up on music then he began listening to R. Kelly, Usher, Scarface, and 2pac and then he found his love for Thug R&B. Mike G later met a man name Swade who was considered the hottest rapper and producer of Rockford, Illinois since meeting Swade Mike G has been recording in the studio nonstop and he then met Poke “Mr. 815â€and began doing shows in Atlanta, GA, St Louis, Chicago, Ft. Wayne Indiana, and he has recently opened up for Jagged Edge, H-Town, V.I.C, Dj. Unk, Bump J., and Rapper Huey. Mike G since became known as Mike G “The ladies manâ€. Mike G stated that he has love for the ladies and he has a gangster swag and he says for all of you to know he is bringing a different sound and a different swag to the music world which is his style of R&B he is bringing something that everybody can relate to.
